LyraFocus is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe productivity tools should help you focus, not track you. This policy explains how we handle your data.

What Data the App Stores

Data You Create:

  • Tasks, habits, and focus sessions you create
  • Capture Groups you organize
  • Priority plans and bucket items
  • Achievement data and statistics

Technical Data:

  • Basic device information for app compatibility

How Your Data is Used

Your data is processed solely to:

  • Provide app functionality (timers, task management, habit tracking)
  • Sync your data across your devices via iCloud
  • Calculate your achievement statistics
  • Restore your data if you reinstall the app

Where Your Data Lives

iCloud/CloudKit:

All your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service (if enabled). This means:

  • Only you can access your data
  • Data syncs across your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account
  • Apple handles the security and encryption of your iCloud data
  • We cannot access your iCloud data
  • You can disable iCloud access in your iOS settings and all data will just be stored locally

Local Storage:

When offline or if iCloud is disabled, data is stored locally on your device until it syncs with iCloud.

What We DON'T Do

  • We don't collect analytics or tracking data
  • We don't use advertising networks
  • We don't share your data with third parties
  • We don't access or read your personal data
  • We don't sell your information
  • We don't require an account beyond your iCloud account (optional)

Your Rights & Control

You have control:

  • Access: View all your data within the app
  • Stop Syncing: Disable iCloud sync in your device's iCloud settings
  • Remove Everything: Delete the app to remove all local data; disable iCloud sync to remove cloud data

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

  • Apple's iCloud encryption (in transit and at rest)
  • Your device's security features (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode)
  • CloudKit's authentication system tied to your Apple ID

Children's Privacy

LyraFocus does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app requires an iCloud account, which has its own age restrictions.

Third-Party Services

LyraFocus uses only Apple's services:

  • CloudKit: For data synchronization (covered by Apple's privacy policy)
  • iOS Notifications: For timer alerts (no data leaves your device)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Updates will be posted in the app and on our website with the new effective date.
